HIGH VOLUME OF FOMEMA REGISTRATIONS AT FOMEMA BRANCHES & AGENTS
Dear valued customers,
You may have been experiencing some delays than usual in registering your foreign workers at our branches and agents from 2nd January 2018 onwards.
This is due to sudden surge in the registration of foreign workers, including the need to access old information on foreign workers, subsequent to the recent decision by the Government on additional compulsory alternate years FOMEMA Medical Examinations effective 1st January 2018, in addition to the compulsory 3 medical examinations.
The above delays has also caused our telephoned lines congested with influx of incoming calls that are continuously being handled by our Customer Service representatives which may result in drop calls for some callers.
We have taken the necessary steps earlier in December 2017 to upgrade our IT systems which require a bit of times to migrate and configure the old data into the new server which we expect could be completed by this week (week beginning 22nd January 2018).
Thus, we would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused due to the recent turn of events which has led to the delay in the registration of the foreign workers.
Despite the above, employers are encouraged and advised to utilise FOMEMA portal for online registration and online payments at https://portal.fomema.my/ which is not affected by the above congestions. For more information on online registration procedures, please refer to http://www.fomema.com.my/index.php/registration-procedures/online-registration.
We believe our customers’ satisfaction is our utmost priority we will ensure that normal services are resume soonest possible. Your patience and cooperation is much appreciated.
