Discontinuation of Pos Online Service for the Payment of FOMEMA Registration fee

KUALA LUMPUR – As part of its ongoing exercise to accommodate its customers with multiple mode of payment channels for the purpose of registering their foreign workers, FOMEMA together with Pos Malaysia had, on 11th March 2016, jointly announced their collaboration in providing the online payment facility to FOMEMA customers to make payment for medical examination of their foreign workers via online.  However, the President / Chief Executive Officer Unitab Medic Sdn. Bhd., Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail says “With deep regret we would like to inform our customers that, with effect from 1st December 2016, Pos Online facility for the payment of registration fee for FOMEMA medical examination shall be discontinued due to lower in response of the use of Pos Online payment by the employers or agents.”

Nonetheless, FOMEMA registration fees can still be made via alternative methods of payment such as Bank Draft (Banker’s Cheque), Money Order and CIMB Clicks, according to Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail.

Dato’ Mohd Hatar Ismail added that, with effect from 15th November 2016, the employers can opt to register their foreign workers and make the necessary payment online for the medical examination via Employers Portal at https://portal.fomema.my  

100 Blood Donors Gathered at FOMEMA Blood Drive Campaign 2016

Kuala Lumpur, 07 September 2016 – In support of the ongoing efforts by the National Blood Bank Malaysia recently, Unitab Medic Sdn. Bhd. (FOMEMA) has organised a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), FOMEMA Blood Donation Campaign 2016. In addition to helping the National Blood Centre Malaysia increases blood supply, it is also as a way of giving back to the community. The programme has managed to attaract more than 100 donors, including staff Unitab Medic Sdn. Bhd. (FOMEMA) and the public at the Menara Takaful Malaysia.

President / Chief Executive Officer Unitab Medic Sdn. Bhd. (FOMEMA) Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail said, “When we help others with donated blood, we become part of the larger community. Hopefully with a full sense of mutual responsibility will be able to make Malaysia a caring society and united. In view of the needs blood supply in hospitals across the country which will continue to rise, together with the National Blood Centre, we hope Malaysians will come forward to give blood and help those in need. It is hoped that with more blood donation campaign to be held in future, to foster a culture of blood donation among Malaysians and to make this programme such as a shared social responsibility. In addition, with the positive cooperation of the National Blood Centre, the main goal of this programme can also be achieved when people gather to donate blood.”

“We hope this initiative will encourage more people to become blood donors because we believe that each individual can make a difference in their own way. Hence, let us work together to save lives by donating blood.” said Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail.

“Furthermore, according to the National Blood Centre, each bag of blood can save at least three lives. Therefore, we are aiming to get more donors for blood donation campaign to be held in future years to continue to foster a spirit of love, build a responsible society and help to get more bags of blood to the National Blood Centre. FOMEMA Blood Donation Campaign in 2016 was also in line with the theme of Blood Donation Campaign 2016 published by the World Health Organisation (WHO), “The blood connects us all,” added Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail concluded in FOMEMA Blood Donation Campaign 2016.
