Kuala Lumpur – In supporting ongoing efforts #jomdermadarah by National Blood Centre Malaysia, FOMEMA (Foreign Workers Medical Examination Monitoring Agency) recently organised The Blood Drive Campaign 2017.  The third annual FOMEMA Corporate Social Responsibility Programme (CSR) is a joint collaboration with the National Blood Centre were also attended by the President / Chief Executive Officer of FOMEMA Sdn. Bhd., Y.Bhg. Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail.

FOMEMA Blood Drive campaign for 2017 is the first time to be held here at FOMEMA’s Corporate Office, The Icon @ Jalan Tun Razak from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. with targeted collection of 100 units of blood bags.  Furthermore, selection of The Icon @ Tun Razak as the location due to its close proximity with FOMEMA’s Corporate Office as its main focus is to reach wider campaign announcements to FOMEMA’s staff, staff from other companies in The Icon Tower and the public around, who wish to donate blood and seize the opportunities to participates, in helping the National Blood Centre to increase the supply of blood in the needs of patients in Malaysia.

Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail added “The campaign is a part of our continued effort of Corporate Social Responsibility Programme (CSR) in raising awareness of the public to donate blood, as well as their sensitivity to help those in need of adequate blood supply especially during festive seasons as the accident rates are higher during that period and most hospitals are in dire need for blood.  In addition, the campaign aims to provides information on benefits and methods of blood donation while encourage the public towards a healthy living practices.

Since the first year of inception FOMEMA Blood Drive Campaign in 2014, it had successfully collected 70 units of blood bag.  Meanwhile in 2016, it managed to contribute 100 units of blood bag to the National Blood Centre.  For the year of 2017, FOMEMA Blood Drive Campaign that were held at The Icon @ Tun Razak is well welcomed by the employees and tenants of the building. One of FOMEMA aims for this continuos effort is for more blood donation to be held in future and at the same time to foster a culture of blood donation among Malaysians.

“We hope this initiative will encourage more people to come forward to become blood donors and work together to save lives by donating blood regularly,” said Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail.  It is hoped that with the positive cooperation of the National Blood Centre, the main goal of this programme can also be achieved when people gather to donate blood.”

“Furthermore, according to the National Blood Centre, each bag of blood can save at least three lives. Therefore, we are aiming to get more donors for blood donation campaign to be held in future years to continue to foster a spirit of love, build a responsible society and help to get more bags of blood to the National Blood Centre, added Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail concluded in FOMEMA Blood Donation Campaign 2017.

FOMEMA Go Extra mile to Provide convenience with Online Employers' Web Portal

FOMEMA: It’s now hassle-free to register and pay Foreign Workers’ Medical Examination Online at anytime from anywhere.

Kuala Lumpur – FOMEMA is introducing Employers’ Web Portal Online to facilitate employers to register and pay registration fee of Foreign Workers’ Medical Examination via online starting 15th November 2016.

Addressing the media, Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail, President / Chief Executive Officer Unitab Medic Sdn. Bhd. (FOMEMA) said, “A demonstration was held on 11th November on how the Web Portal working to a few of FOMEMA customers here at FOMEMA branch Kuala Lumpur.  FOMEMA Employers’ Online Web Portal enables the customers with an online access to register, renew and to make secure online payments for foreign workers’ medical examination, saving time and cost for both the company and the customer.”

“FOMEMA has always been working to enhance its customer service to the next level.  It is not mainly about doing business, but to ensure the customers are happy and satisfied at the end of the day.  The only thing the customers need to do is to first create their employer account, register their foreign workers and pay FOMEMA registration fees via Financial Process Exchange (FPX) payment channel for 15 participated banks.”

“This new system allows the customers carry out all their foreign workers’ medical examination registration processes at the touch of a fingertip, from the comforts of their office or home.  With only an internet connection, scanner to scan the relevant documents, the registration processes that currently take place at FOMEMA branches is no longer necessary.  Once the employer account registration has been processed, the status of the registration (successful or unsuccessful) will be notified via email within 2 working days of registration approval process completed.  The confirmation of registration email will be sent to the customer’s email accordingly.” Added Dato’ Mohd Hatar Bin Ismail.

Adding to that, the new Web Portal will also allow the customers to experience a greater convenience where they will be able to view the registration and payment history by registering their foreign workers’ online using the new Web Portal.  Meanwhile, the current registration process at FOMEMA branches will still be operating as usual to accommodate manual walk-in registration.  Moreover, we have also added on the frequently-asked-questions (FAQ) section in the portal to provide clear guidance from the first step of registration of Employer Account, the Registration of Foreign Workers’ Medical Examination and the payment instruction.

“We hope that by offering online registration and payment will increase the customers’ convenience and satisfaction in dealing with FOMEMA.  Hopefully the new Web Portal works very well and we immensely increase efficiency  while at the same time reducing any potential errors that might occur.” said President / Chief Executive Officer of Unitab Medic Sdn.
