Putrajaya - Unitab Medic Sdn. Bhd. (FOMEMA) in their supportive effort to Malaysia's high commitment to tackle human trafficking issues has successfully provided free medical examination for seven (7) victims of human trafficking under under its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme in 2015. During the High-level Committee Meeting of Anti-trafficking in persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Council Appreciation Event held in Putrajaya, YAB Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia had gracefully presented a certificate of appreciation to Dato' Mohd Hatar bin Ismail, President/CEO of Unitab Medic Sdn. Bhd. (FOMEMA) for participating in the Government's initiative by giving free medical examination to the victims before they were offered work opportunities by JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur. At the event, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says all the Government's efforts to address human trafficking had paid off when Malaysia was upgraded from Tier 3 to Tier 2 in the report this year. He also added that moving forward, Malaysia aims to be on the Tier 1 in the US State Department's Trafficking in Persons Report by 2020. It is such an honor for FOMEMA to be invited to take part in the mission and FOMEMA is committed to lend its hands in assisting the Government to combat Human Trafficking issues in the future, which it is in line with FOMEMA's objective to provide top-notch medical examination services for the employment of foreign workers in Malaysia.
