MUAR, JOHOR – In an effort to strengthen relationships with its stakeholder, FOMEMA® the operating company of Foreign Workers’ Medical Examination Programme organised its first Employers’ Engagement Programme 2019 today with more than 80 employers of foreign workers’ from Muar Furniture Association in Muar, Johor.

Ms Kelen Leong Choy Fun, Chief Executive Officer of FOMEMA® Sdn. Bhd. in the media release says, “We are very pleased with the positive cooperation from Muar Furniture Association enabling us to organise this programme again this year as a part of our stakeholders’ engagement activity to ensure that we constantly communicate information with the employers.   In today’s programme, we also shared some important input such as the guidelines of FOMEMA Medical Examination Programme, Foreign Workers’ Biometric system, FOMEMA online registration at FOMEMA Online Web Portal and the latest development of FOMEMA payment system.  As one of the improvement measures towards effective engagement programme, we also invited representatives from Bahagian Visa Dan Rujukan Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia Johor Bahru, PERKESO and Jabatan Tenaga Kerja Muar for information sharing on the latest and important news of foreign workers’ employment programme in Malaysia.  This engagement not only acts as a communication bridge but it’s a vital element of FOMEMA’s operations as it helps to enhance understanding between stakeholder groups, thus reducing potential conflicts and promoting effective cooperation towards achieving the objective of FOMEMA in providing progressive Foreign Workers’ Medical Examination.”

KUALA LUMPUR – Moving towards improving stakeholder relationships of its Service Providers, FOMEMA® the operating company of Foreign Workers’ Medical Examination Programme successfully organised two engagement programmes on 28th and 29th September 2019 at Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie Shah Alam.  The two days programmes attended by more than 250 FOMEMA service providers from Klang Valley highlighting the topic of standard guidelines and criteria in Foreign Workers’ Medical & Chest X-ray Examination Programme as stipulated by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia.

Ms. Kelen Leong Choy Fun, Chief Executive Officer of FOMEMA® Sdn. Bhd. in the media release says, “We are beyond delighted to organise these programmes again since the last we held in 2015 and 2016, and today we managed to attract more than 250 participants at these two days programmes. With the opportunity and trust given by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia we could go forth to further improves our relationships with the service providers. The information sharing and dialogue session on the standard guidelines of carrying out FOMEMA® Medical and Chest X-ray Examination we have set through these programmes are in line with the National Strategic Plan For Tuberculosis Control 2016-2020, The End TB Strategy that aims to end the TB epidemic by 2035 and Malaysia vows to adapt the policy and guidelines by WHO in order to achieve these targets of implementation plan under the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. Not only these programmes act as a good communication tool for FOMEMA® and our service providers, but we could also work on mutual goals in ensuring the quality standards of medical examinations are carried out by FOMEMA® panels. Working towards effective programmes, we bring together a diverse range of panel speakers from Disease Control Division, Ministry of Health and Consultant Radiologists from the industry to ensure the objectives of the programmes are achieved. This is why we organised these programmes, to discuss key challenges and opportunities to further enhance the operations quality in FOMEMA® medical examination programme and it is hoped to see more participation from FOMEMA® panels in the future.”
